Lydia J. Voles
Despite citing her age as "30ish," Lydia has 25 years experience in public relations, corporate communications, special events, media relations, strategic planning, writing and marketing partnerships for clients in the non-profit world, as well as in the book/magazine publishing; food/beverage; health/fitness; and consumer technology industries. Since joining Maloney & Fox in February 2003, Lydia has taken on the unofficial title of "mother hen." Officially, she has put her strong media relations skills to good use, managing programs with goals ranging from "cool-fying" Tupperware, as well as increasing membership and consumer exposure of both the American Physical Therapy Association and Sensei, a mobile and Web-based health and wellness solution. She has also garnered extensive consumer and business media coverage for clients such as GameStop, the world's largest video game and software retailer; PhotoWorks.com, an American Greetings Company; and Hyperion Books for Children, a division of Disney. Lydia has spearheaded public relations initiatives on behalf of, among others, Ile de France specialty Brie and goat cheese, Applegate Farms' Organic Lunchbox, Absolut Vodka, Godiva Liqueur, and several New York City restaurants including Daniel and The Water Club. Lydia counts among her career highlights planning and implementing the year-long campaign marking the 150th anniversary of Harper's Magazine, and the 50th anniversary of the National Book Awards, hosted by Steve Martin and honoring Gold Medal recipient Oprah Winfrey (who told Lydia she "rocked" the dress she was wearing). A graduate of Boston College, she lives in Westchester County, New York with her husband, two boys, and Nola the dog. |
