Human billboard rules
For Microsoft's biggest product launch in years, it turned to M&F for its off-the-wall creativity to plan and execute
a launch event that would capture the attention of national and international media and "reach new heights" for Microsoft.
Years of product delays had led to widespread skepticism, which made M&F's job tougher, and heightened the need to do
something truly special. The agency stepped up to the challenge by creating an original, visually stunning "Human Billboard",
featuring aerialist dancers that recreated the Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2000 logos against an office building in
New York City. The stunt, which literally stopped traffic, led to massive worldwide media coverage and created a clear and
exciting reference point for this new product offering. In turn, the launch got the media and public buzzing and raised awareness that Vista had truly arrived.
